Job Description

The Account Manager is responsible for effectively managing client teams and programs. The candidate must display an in-depth understanding of consumer and brand communications, media relations and engaging digital content. Work includes client relations, developing media and influencer strategies, and management on special events including creative planning, budget, timelines and logistics. The position assists in building, implementing, managing and reporting on effective communications programs for clients.


• Long-term thinking on client strategies and business efficiencies

• Develop story angles, write and edit strategic communications materials

• Develop and execute the strategy behind campaigns

• Problem solves and develops solutions through strategy and instinct

• Maintain relationships with media, social media and influencers and an understanding of the evolving media landscape

• Manages event logistics including venue negotiations and bookings, arranges food and beverage, orders supplies and audiovisual equipment, makes travel arrangements, and ensures appropriate décor (florals, linens, color schemes, etc.)

• Proposes new ideas to improve the company's planning and implementation process

• Prepares budgets and provides periodic progress reports for each project

• Successfully multitasks within collaborative team structure and open work environment

• Displays the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure


As an Account Manager, you are adept at creative thinking and idea generation, honing your craft every day. Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Journalism, Communications or Event Management and 5 years or more of communications experience in an agency or corporation.
